Listening to ESPN radio this morning and all the talk was about the number of QBs this season who've gotten hurt, and while I don't know if that's an anomaly or not, I can't help but think the root cause of this issue is the hollowing out of rosters because such a large percentage of the salary cap is devoted to paying the starting QB. It's almost a self-fulfilling prophecy. @nfl

@trebach @nfl Yeah, I think O-Line play is symptom of the issue I described, but then again, folks have been complaining about O-Line play for years - at least since colleges moved away from pro-style to spread, RPO, and shotgun/pistol-based offenses.

@DM_Zeppelin @nfl Yeah, it's not good long term. I mean, one of the optimal strategies for winning in the is too luck out with a QB on a rookie deal (or a being a later round pick) and then build up the rest of the team and win before you have to extend them.
